    FM100 TOP LOAD filter?

Thanks....anyone know how the three water sensor wires are supposed to hook to the four wires that are original to the truck? Tried to figure it out with the TM pdf and my Chilton manual....I guess I could try to find a 6.5 manual but figured someone here is bound to have already done this...

    FM100 TOP LOAD filter?

Thx...did you wire up the water sensor and if so how did you do it (which wires went to where)? Nice looking build....if my TH400 goes out then I plan on replacing it with a 700R, I get already 16mpg with the original drive train but OD would be nice for scooting along the freeway better.

    FM100 TOP LOAD filter?

I got one of these as well and while the fuel heater connection seems straight forward (pos/neg), I seem to be at a loss at figuring out which wires go where for the water sensor? Old connector has four leads and the new one only has three. The black and tan seems to be a diagnostic plug that...

Rookie Diesel Operator, CUCVII ran out of fuel

How about some pics please when you get a chance? My dream is to find a Duramax LSSV on GSAAUCTIONS.GOV after getting a new one to test drive for several months in early 2004

Instrument Light fuse keeps blowing intermittently during start

Thx...leaving it alone for now as it doesn't seem to be a problem and the potato chip analogy is spot on in terms of Lays but not so much rigid Ruffles or cookie cutter Pringles

Instrument Light fuse keeps blowing intermittently during start

Re-seated all the bulbs and problem solved. I naively thought after reading my Chilton manual that it would be best to remove the instrument cluster to troubleshoot. I don't think it was installed correctly because it seems wedged behind the sheet metal of the dash.

Instrument Light fuse keeps blowing intermittently during start

Thx for talking me off the cliff re: up sizing...I recently reset my dash bulbs and it felt like the circuit panel was delaminating so maybe my efforts caused the short...need to probably re-seat the bulbs (maybe LED to boot) anr try to figure out where I may have horsed things up?

Instrument Light fuse keeps blowing intermittently during start

After I switched the glow plug module to push button once in a while the instrument panel light 5a fuse will blow during engine start. I suppose I need to turn the marker lights on to be able to see when it happens during start because its also possible it's unrelated to the mod and might be an...

    Voltmeter Wiring Help

I did something similar with a red led voltmeter that also had usb charger ports. I didn't think about replacing the original with a small tach, so that is pretty brilliant. Which one did you or are you thinking about using there?

    LED Head light upgrade. ....

Cleaning the contacts is money...much like a crusty SSgt for Life showed me how a pencil eraser would clean up the hand mike contacts on the PRC- 77 that I was packing around that translated much later to the PRC-128s that I had to sign my life away for or the 14th or PRC-152s on many subsequent...

    M1009 won't start without help

My M1008 and I finally had "the talk" about his ether habit. After getting past the normal crap about being in Desert Storm and how bad Saudi diesel tastes and how irresponsible the average PFC drives, he finally admitted to me he knew he had a problem and was ready to make a positive change....

I want a flat black painted CUCV (like the two that I saw on the way home from work)!

Nope......just might take a while  Too shiny.... but the 1974 M880 Dodge refugee from DRMO that I had for a range truck had a sexy dark green finish, Dana PTO winch, toolboxes and only 18K miles which was pretty amazing for a two+ decade old truck at the time....someone probably got a...

I want a flat black painted CUCV (like the two that I saw on the way home from work)!

I was shocked to see these beauties on the drive home because I hadn't seen a legit Active Duty motor pool residing CUCV since my 1985 patrol vehicle was turned in during the mid90s for a cursed 25mph governor limited Clinton-era Daihatsu Bongo ice cream truck that we tried our darndest to break...

    LED Head light upgrade. ....

Couldn't say....we're too far below the snowline here for me to know but they seem to be a little warm after driving, however not nearly as warm as the originals. I think if I was in the high country I'd worry more but then again I also kept the original ones JiC...but I grew up in Alaska and...

    LED Head light upgrade. ....

I bought the Partsam (Chinesy) ones on Amazon for 58 bucks a pair shipped because they supposedly have a vent for moisture to escape and they are great for the money. I was jealous of the LEDs the military HMMWV’s and FMTVs have around here

    Dash Pad Replacement

I ordered the Classic Industries on a Cyber Monday sale in brown but the instructions said best results would be trying over 70 degrees for fitting (urethane dash) so have had to wait until early summer before attempting. Mice ate up most of the old dash when USFWS owned it.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Me too....I was imaging Barbie's Dream CUCV but this is more Planes 2 Fire & Rescue, great potential!

    Value of 1986 CUCV M1008

I bought mine for a bit less from the USFWS here in WA and instead of repainting they did a professional 12v conversion. Unfortunately there was a mice colony that had rusted a three inch diameter hole into the bottom of the heater blower box and this was compounded by not using the...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

A friend from college works "up north" there settling claims for the county and gets all sorts of crazy stuff concerning the buses...traffic accidents, people falling off/walking in front of them, etc. I was thinking that I should give them a good torque to prevent vibrating loose, so thanks...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Oh yeah, and I attacked the fresh snow on my CUCV with a pushbroom after the battery post....before pic
