    M880 Front Axle Question.

    i've checked both Auto zone and Advance Auto locally and was told no longer available, i've found them on E-bay and gonna check a few other places. left was real bad and was replaced with one from auto zone. went to replace right side, the center hole and bolt pattern was wrong on replacement...

    Stock tire size

    Nothing, standing them side by side comparing old rim and tire to new rim and tire there was a 2 inch difference in height. The Ford rims also are 7 inch wide, original rims were 6.5 inches wide. maybe something to do with original tires being 8 ply and replacements being 10 ply.

    my M880 has the Dana 44 3500 pound axle, rotors are getting hard to find. none of the local auto parts places can even get them.

    Stock tire size

    my M880 had 9.50-16.5 tires my swap was to early 90s 16 inch 8 bolt Ford rims and i am running 10 ply LT 265/75 16 tires. had to change all the lug nuts also, its now sits about 2 inches higher than it did before. these tires just barely clear the front fender. i know the speedo is off on mine.

    thanks NDT, you nailed 3 things i left out. i replaced the sending unit on mine. i am getting the cab issues. also get the hard start issue. so far the Amp gauge has been ok. good body parts are hard to come by. i've been lucky so far with this issue and found two nice doors off a 1976 D100...

    yea i know and i not buying the beer... owner of 1976 M880 Power Wagon since 1991 that i just keep fixing up, i believe the old girl came from the Indian Town Gap base here in Pa. Paid 2 grand for in 1991 and it had 22,000 miles on it then and over the years its had a lot done to it. rebuilt...
