back to the original topic (sort-of) does anyone make an EGT gauge that looks somewhat original? I haven't been able to find one.
I just don't like eyesores that don't match with everything else (and no, I don't want to replace everything in the dash!)
Hopefully some helpful information for someone (maybe y'all already knew this already) but the nozzles from the allen-head screw adjust type are not interchangable with the older shim-type.
I have a set of the older shim type that came out of my truck, but i have a single (no good) screw-type...
I've got 2 gallons of <1yr old DOT 5 in central Connecticut that I'd let go for my cost ($50/gal) if someone wants to pick it up, or pay shipping and a few $ for my hassle in packaging.
PM me
i bought 4 last year when I was totally redoing my brake system, because I can't pass up a good...
Hey everybody,
1971 M35A2, LDT-465-1C engine rebuilt in '85. Currently has the 2-hole injectors (nozzle ADB-35S-124-7). They're not opening cleanly (some are dribbling at 2600, opening at 3000) and the spray pattern doesn't look too great.
Thinking about replacing injectors/nozzles...
is there a NSN difference between the 2 kits? i.e. if I find one for sale, without opening the box, is there a way to tell the difference?
similar question on the engine. Can I tell which one I have (engine rebuild date perhaps?) before disassembling? I want to have the parts on hand...
Hi Everybody,
i know im probably going to get flamed for even suggesting this, but i'm posting the question anyway.
has anyone ever tried to replace a single cylinder sleeve and piston with the engine still in the vehicle (LDT-465-1C)?
I recently got a bad oil analysis result, they seem to...
Yes, the oil is probably ancient. The PO claimed he ran straight diesel. I changed the oil soon after I got it, before it was even street registered. I doubt I ran more than a gallon or two of WMO through it before I changed the oil. So that shouldn't have had any significant impact on the...
I have one of these torque multipliers. no cords, batteries or hoses, and it's cheap. Works great for breaking nuts loose and tightening them. Not good for running them on and off the threads, but one of the best tools I bought for this truck.
Quality isn't terribly good, but it's...
it SEEMS to run normally, but I've never driven another, so I have no idea what "normal" is supposed to be for a deuce.
no white smoke, but it cranks for a few seconds before starting. I get blue smoke, but I assume that's because I'm running 50/50 WMO and diesel.
I just got the vehicle, and...
Anyone have a multifuel compression test adapter I can borrow or rent?
I have the rest of the tester, just not the adapter.
I got a bad oil analysis report from Blackstone that they identified high chrome as maybe a broken ring, and high fuel in the oil. I want to do a compression test...
I debated using a 2.5" receiver, but in the end, I don't expect to use it much, and nothing over 7K, so I went with the standard 2" Those are the pieces I have laying around.
Bolts are high-strength, but probably a little small. They're temporary. I had to finish this up on short...
Hey everybody,
I wanted to post some photos of the receiver hitch I made for my deuce.
It's super heavy duty. the side plates are 1/2" thick steel, and the tube is 3.5" square, with about 1/4" wall thickness.
the ball in the first photo is a 2-5/16, to give you an idea of scale. I...
Yikes, and I thought the 24v brake controller that ixpacman mentioned was pricey......
i guess I'll stick with my original plan.
BTW, my current trailer has LED lights that should work on either 12 or 24v, but I want to set this up for compatibility with all trailers, therefore 12v
mike
Anyone have a good way to set up a deuce with a 24V electrical system to be able to plug & play with a regular civilian trailer, which has 12V lights, and needs 12V to power a brake controller?
the only way i can come up with needs 5 of these 24-12V converters. one to power the brake...
