    Magneto ignitions

    Does anyone have a definitive answer to the use of Magneto Ignition distributors During WW2 on MB and GPW Jeeps. Yes or no they did not. I have never seen one on a period vehicle. But seems like they would have used them. Anybody know for sure?

    My 1942 Ford GPW Script jeep with early wheels and 1919 a4 BMGThis is My Dad driving the first Racy off of Omaha beach Normandy on 9th of June 1944. As the 2nd Armored Division, Recon Co. of the 66th Armored Regiment came ashore. His Recon officer Lt Doak is in the passenger seat.

    Does anybody have the part number for the rotor in a CUCV M1009 alternator? or have a web site that sells the rotor? mine is open and needs to be replaced. Thanks Dave J.
