Does anybody have the part number for the rotor in a CUCV M1009 alternator? or have a web site that sells the rotor? mine is open and needs to be replaced. Thanks Dave J.

PN 79517, from the TM -34P. Seem to be readily available online.

Edit: As pointed out by DH in post 11 above part number is for alternator found on the M1010.

I should have written PN 1049930, from the TM -34P. Also found readily online.

Your alternator is an AC Delco 27si type 100.

12 volt, 100 amp, isolated ground(does not matter for the rotor).

Guessing that is the designation for type 200.

Sure, the website. Parttarget.

You can search by nsn or manufacturers part number.

So, I put in the part number, and got the nsn and all its info.

Also listed in the info is the item end use(what it's used on). In this case the rotor you shared is used on the M1010 which is not the correct alternator(or rotor) for an m1009.

Doghead, I've been working on my search skills with Parttarget and have had a 50-50 result . Could you maybe do a tutorial on using it at some point ?
Awhile back there was a thread on a seat belt bolt size for a M1008 from a member in Europe , I never did find the info with Parttarget. I did however find it with google and a GM parts manual for a later year that used the same part number.
I don't mind helping someone with parts searches , I would just like to get better at using Parttargets search feature.

Thank for catching that, I added an edit to my original post to reflect my mistake.

Happy ending. passenger side alternator humming along as new again. In all my years of mechanicing for a living (40) years worth. this is the first time I have had a bad alt rotor that showed no sign of damage. other than open across the slip rings.
