i drive a ´86 m1009 from the national guard illinois.
My front seats don´t lock at the "sitting" position.
the mechanic to swipe the co driver seat works, but the backrest isn´t locked.
It seems that a plastic part is broken or something like that. I can´t open the folding...

I´ve got the information that the ´86 got 165HP and 330lb-ft @ 2100rpm.
is that right?
i think 450nm isn´t so much!

i bought last weekend a m1009 from 1986. The engine is very dry, there is no oil or other liquids, there is no rust, the lights are working.
BUT i´ve got 1 problem
The backrest didn´t lock. The seat is locked but the backrest is loose.
I have no idea where is the problem. Maybe some of...

I´m super happy with this american Truck.
I´m 26 years old, live in Darmstadt (near Frankfurt) and i use my m1009 not daily, only at sundays :o
