    Front end alignment

Hi Guys, I was doing some calculations to correct my front end alignment on my 90 M998. The amount of shims concern me. Can you have that many? The TM says 1.5 caster and +0.68 camber so mine seems to be way off. The civilian 92 uses less camber so I am going with that.

Hi All, I took the M998 out today and put it away. Went back out the the shop later and was working on something and noticed a short 1 second buzz/vibration noise coming from the HMMWV. I didn't have time to trace it down but it was only happening once every 3 or 4 minutes. Anybody run into...

    12 Bolt wheel centering washers

Hi all, I picked up a set of old style 12 bolt wheels with some new tires on them. I wanted to flip a couple of tires to match the tread direction so I took a couple apart. After I was done putting them together, I stuck them on the balancer and noticed the back wheel half was out of center...

    Rear camber

I decided to remove the rear camber shims on my M998 to get a strait camber. Wow, those rear upper control arm brackets are a bear to remove by yourself, good thing I have 3 elbows...... M998 Windshield

Anybody know what the front window is made out of? I was attempting to attach a rear view mirror to it but couldn't get the epoxy to set right, kept popping off. I gave up and mounted it on the upper windshield frame. It's not ideal, but I love having one there.

I have had some issues with my turn signals. When I first start up and fro about the first 20 minutes of driving, the turn signals will not always work. After that they work great. The lights come on, seems like the flasher just doesn't go on and off. Before I start tossing money at the...

    Hard top

What are your thoughts on having a fiberglass hard top made? I was discussing this with a Jeep top manufacturer. $8000 for the initial mold and $2,000 for the tops as they roll out. Might not be a a bad look on a M998. Of course, the top could be modded any way that I saw fit for the initial...

    Weird tire pressure issue

I have a weird issue with my 12 bolt wheel. The tire is aired up and looks good, however, when I check the tire pressure, I get 0 pressure. If I try to add air, if goes from 0 to 40psi in less than a second and when I let the air back out it goes to 0 in the same amount of time. I removed the...
