Had JATONKA change the plow setup to a Western electric hydraulic 10' plow this year. We also changed the hydraulic pump and reservoir for the dump.
She moves snow real well with the xml sneakers and wider plow.

Was there something special under that cargo bed cover?
I've got two that I'd sell for less than that.....
Came across this 1955 Dodge MB2 "Truck - Crash, Fire & Rescue, Small, Foam" today over in Massachusetts and stopped to take pictures. The fire department is looking to sell it. PM if any wants a contact #.
They know what they have and believe they have it priced accordingly.
PS - it is...
Finally found a M4K Case forklift - and it was just 10 miles from home.
Runs great. Hour meter indicates 217 but it looks like it was used more than that based on the wear and tires. Looks like most of the grease fittings were regularly greased - I greased everything I could find on it and...
I am sure it is not the same as a 1290 - my tractor is listed as 70hp (flywheel) and the 1290 has 53 PTO hp.
By horsepower and year (1987) I think the closest civi model may be the Case 1390 -- it has same engine as my M1394 (219 cid engine).
Case 1290 wt -- 5390 pounds
Case 1390 wt...
Was planning on going to the MacFaddens auction tomorrow but think I will pass to avoid temptation of buying anything else. I also bought a JD 401B with a Alamo Versa over the rail hydro-ax flail mower at this last auction, so right now I'm pretty set on tractors. I figure this 401B will do a...
Bought a 1987 Case military m1394 tractor yesterday at local auction. Great shape with only about 500 hours.
Also bought a military welding/air compressor trailer.
Need a manual for the tractor - if anyone has one please PM me.
I had a deuce that was on a "v" hold for weekstwo years ago. Never got a straight answer what that meant.
Eventually it got released and I immediately ran to pick it up in case they changed their mind....
I wonder if the last owner put in a 12v coil instead of 24v. I searched the coil number ( D-511) and it looks like it comes back as a coil for a 60's Chevy.
Anyone know if putting 24v into a 12v coil would cause something like this?
Working the m108 light crane today. Replaced the condensor, emeried down the points to get the spark back. Ran great, then when I went to restart it again... Bang and a big cloud of smoke. Thought I caught the engine on fire so grabbed the extinguisher.
This is what I found...
I had a M101A2 that did the exact same thing. The darn thing bucked like crazy whenever you braked no matter how soft or hard..
My quick "fix" was to throw a bolt through the hole that locks out the surge brake mechanism.
Now that I know what it is I guess I'll be fixing it....
