    Cool auction item today FLD120 all wheel drive

    Was at a auction today where a Navy Freightliner FLD120 was sold. Cummins diesel, converted to all wheel drive. Low miles -- only 19K. Wet line. Nice truck - didn't buy it! But did get a military trailer with 36' CONEX box.

    top speed and mpg for M818?

    Anyone know the top speed of a stock M818 with 1100x20 tires? Not winding it out, but a "comfortable" highway speed. I know the word "comfortable" probably shouldn't be used to describe their highway performance! Also, what's the typical MPG on diesel fuel ?

    Got two M35A3's from Fort Drum NY. Cat motor, auto trans, dual brake system, electric wipers, hardtop, heater... Can't wait for these EUC's to come through!!!! Now just got to tell the wife... or maybe she won't notice two more trucks among all the others. :-P
