    1953 M211 Brush Truck

    Nice truck.

Some 0-50 runs and driving around town in the 1952 M211

Ok ladies and gentlemen, after surviving our near death experience changing the world's scariest tire and wheel, we took her out on the streets, and some 0-50 mph runs. Not too bad for an almost 70 year old truck. Enjoy.

Split/locking ring removal from the wheel on the 1952 M211. Inner tube replacement.

Ahhh that's the negativity I was looking for! So many old, crusty arm-chair quarterbacks in this forum! With too much keyboard typey-typey and not enough doing things for themselves. Did you watch and listen CLOSELY to the whole video? I'll rebut some of your super weak points: 1. Tire already...

Split/locking ring removal from the wheel on the 1952 M211. Inner tube replacement.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. We will take it out soon and do a little 'speed' run. Seems like around a minute is the average, from the videos I've seen. Oh, and if you look on my YouTube channel, there are other videos with the truck.

Split/locking ring removal from the wheel on the 1952 M211. Inner tube replacement.

So after doing a little research and watching a couple videos, this was our first time replacing the inner tube on the flat 9.00x20 tire on our M211. I'm sure there are things you wouldn't do, or do differently and maybe we will too, on the next one. Maybe this will help show you what to do, or...

Small Trip to Local Cars and Coffee

  7. Century

Drove the old XM211 to Cars and Coffee for the first time.

It hasn't been driven much at all the last 10 plus years. Of course, still have things to do to it, some of which we started after getting back from the event. It was a good showing, and we got to park front and center of the hundreds of vehicles that were there. Not going to win any film...

Here's our 1952 XM211. New to the site

Just tossing out ideas. I'm sure you could punch holes in any of them. Oregon compared to some other states is pretty lenient on car laws. Especially historical vehicles (outside smog testing). They never/RARELY get 'inspected'. I like those pictures of the gas tank repair! Some people do not...

Here's our 1952 XM211. New to the site

I see there is a 'Parts wanted' and 'Classified' section in here. Might want to try that if you haven't already. Also, may need to get creative, maybe a new gen. deuce gas tank (don't know if it's hard to do/modify), or put a large fuel cell in the cargo box. Lots of room behind the cab!

Here's our 1952 XM211. New to the site

Thank you everyone, very kind. We are able to struggle through most of the upkeep ourselves, but it's nice to know if we come to a road block on something, there are some other owners we can bounce ideas off of.

Here's our 1952 XM211. New to the site

We've had it for about 20 years. Many things done to upkeep it. Not perfect, but it does move and shift through all the gears. https://youtu.be/oThZvELAi7s
