ON a 802a what does the range adjuster screw on the voltage regulator do. does it raise or lower the maximum voltage output of the unit when the potentiometer on the control board is turned to maximum ? thanks
the more I think I know about this gen the more I find out I don't. hope this makes sense to someone. reading a thread recently that talked about starting sequence to get oil pressure up before releasing the start position made me take a second look at the wiring to the oil pressure switch...
as I understand a lot of generator connections are by extension cords. where should the main bonding jumper be located when your generator is connected to your house panel by a cord attached receptacle connection . leaving the main bonding jumper on the gen will allow a parallel path if a...
i read many posts of gens running way over 100% of their rated load in an attempt to cure wet stacking issues. the electrical end is protected by overload protection but not so for the diesel. can you break the diesel end by this practice
everything looked fine. gen ran and held a 100% load for 2 hours. so I changed the oil, used 5w40 as if is cold here in virginia. ran the engine with new oil and decided to check for blow by by removing the oil dipstick. mist and oil spray came out of the tube. I had done this check before...

I thought I would drain the fuel tank on my new 802a but nothing comes out. the p-cock appears to be functional, I can verify it opens and closes. unit came with new filters and diesel that looked and smelled fresh. unit runs ok but like others have noted its vibration issue is work in progress.
