Forgot to add that lately I've been working on my T-72 Tank (ARV Version) and my M-578 VTR (also an ARV)... Got to fire them up occasionally....make sure they are "Combat Ready"...maybe you want to go for a "Springtime" ride? This opportunity does'nt come along every day!..Think about it.
WELL, we are only about 280km's from Berlin ...take A11 North to Stettin (Szczecin), then stay on the S6/E28 towards Gdansk (Danzig). Turn Left on Highway 37, then it's only 15 km's to Darlowo!!! It's NO problem for us for a short notice visit. Should you desire, you are very welcome. Mark &...
Hi Guy, No problem...I know how stuff like this somehow gets pushed back on ALL OUR PRIORITY lists...With the 1st of May approaching quickly...we will be opening the Restaurant in our Hotel...so the forklift drip problem was pushed back on my list as well.....whenever you get any info just pass...
OK, I'll wait until you talk to him before I pull the cylinder out. Thanks Guy, I appreciate your taking the time and trouble. Send me an e-mail with your fone # and I'll give you a call. Regards, Mark
Hey Guy/fang, any news on the M10A Hydra. Cylin. part kit? I may have found a shop here who says it "should" be no problem to overhaul the cylinder and match the seals and o-rings by size. Well, I probably won't have much of a choice when I consider what the price of a seal "kit" probably...
Helllo Guy, Thanks for the update....I've had no further progress on any other leads....Well, I used the forklift today, it's dripping about 10-15 drops of oil per minute when the engine is running and the hydraulic pump has pressurized the system..I fashioned a "drip-pan" for catching the oil...
OK, Thanks for your input!! I don't plan on separating with mine either... and yes the lack of a quick disconnect for a bucket is too bad....but I guess one can't have everything, at least for the price I got mine for.... I just got to get this oil drip on the sideshirt cylinder fixed!! I...
Its Mark..no problem Yes, Burgkunstadt is close to Bamberg. I flew many times over that area on my way to Graf.(Training area) I was a helicopter pilot. Iam now 66 years old (too) and wishing I could retire...but in the Gastronome business, plus with all my MV's that won't be happening...
Hello Guyfang, so you must be "another " Ex-GI like myself that stayed in Europe. After my active duty time with the U.S. Army in Germany...I was in Bad Kreuznach and Wiesbaden....(where were/are you now?) I was working as a civil-contractor employee for U.S. Army Aviation Systems...
Hey FuzzyT. you said you have (or had) a FEW M10A's... I must be honest and say, my first one,--I now have 3ea. I (auctioned) almost 10 years ago, and this is the FIRST "semi-major" problem I've had with it or any of them ...and the only "real" problem seems to be getting this repair kit. The...
Can you believe this,..... I just got a price quote from this outfit Periparts for this seal kit !!(5ea. seals,1ea. ring/washer, and 1ea. piece of wire) FOR A WOPPING, UNBELIEVEABLE, ASTRONOMICAL PRICE OF: $1,062 !!!! ARE THESE PEOPLE CRAZY??? For 5 O-Rings and a washer!! For $1000+ do...
Hello, Yes that would be the most logical solution...Problem over here in Europe is that such "Shops" can usually do the same.... If the cylinder was built to METRIC specs. But this cylinder was probably US INCH based, and trying to match seals and o-rings by size (i.e. their closest metric...
Hello, Thanks for your response. Iam using an on-line down loaded manual originally from "Liberated Manuals" TM10-3930-643-24P . I'll have a look at the sub part #('s) and the NSN # to see what comes up. I could not even find the complete Hydra. Cylin. as per the P/N listed in this TM ...
Hello, thanks for the reply..it is the Sideshift cylinder...the lower one in your photo and the lowest cylinder of the Hyster forklift attachment. Regards, Mark
Hello, Can anyone help me out with getting a Seal kit for my M10A Forklift SideShift cylinder? The TM-24P says the KIT P/N is 339307, but I can find NO such kit or part number listing anywhere. I cannot find even the individual seals and O-Rings (under their listed individual P/N's)...
Hi thanks for your response. I am using what the U.S. Army put in the truck (the truck only has 2,800 miles total since rebuild at Texas RMS in 2007....I assume it is OE-HDO-10 (also because it looks and feels like grade 10 oil)...although a placard on the inside driver door says to use SAE...
Thanks guys..I am doing the normal truck warm up ...leting it idle for sometimes half hour before it will slowly go into gear 6 or 7... then I drive it around in this gear only... for a couple of miles ...then as things start to warm up.... the transmission begins to slowly shift into more gears...
I am in need of some help with the installation of this winterization kit for the Cat 7155 transmission-- control block strip heater kit on my M920 & M916 Trucks. The kit came with 4 pages of diagrams--but only of the included items in the kit --NOT how to install it in the vehicle. I see...
