I'm having a hard time getting seals for the fuel filters. Tractor Supply never called back. Napa got me 6 in and I went to pick them up and they couldn't find them :cookoo:. The said they will reorder them for me but it will be at least another week. Walmart said they are on back order. I have...
OOOPS! Are you talking about the strainer and not air filter? It looks to be in pretty good shape as well. I am not familiar with how it works but it could probably be cleaned.
I ordered 2 oil so I have a spare. I plan to run it a little bit and then change it again.
4 Fuel so I have a spare set.
1 air. The one that is in it looks real good so I probably will just hold onto it for a spare.
I did not find a new strainer yet. I am not sure if I should replace it or...
I ordered some filters from amazon,
2- CH6PL Oil. Will the gaskets with these work?
4- C1125PL Fuel filters. It says they are secondary filters.
From what I see they are used in both canisters? Also, I am a bit confused. It says in WIKI that the gaskets are correct but I read another thread...
Tried that a three or four times. Here is what I see:

I have the tank off with everything removed. I had the lacquer thinner in for well over an hour. I had sloshed it around many times during that time. I have since dumped it out. The tank still has what I would call minor rust (no scaling). I am just wondering if I should do anything else...
OK! I pulled the gauge and sensor out. I have had the thinner in it for about an hour now. I have sloshed it around many for quite a bit. I have not emptied it yet but I can still see rust marks inside the tank. (The thinner has taken paint off the fuel tank:neutral:). And the wife says I STINK...
Gauge and sensor?
Do I need to remove the fuel gauge and the sensor that are in the top of the tank before using the lacquer thinner? I didn't know if it may eat the float or cause damage to the sensor.
Thanks
Bob
One more question. Where can I get the green paint that is used on these? I'd like to take care of a couple areas with surface rust before it goes any further.
Thanks
Well I got it home late this afternoon. I rotated the engine as someone suggested with the fan nut and no issues there it seems. The fuel tank looks like it has fluid in the bottom. I opened the drain and it did drip a little but not much. The strainer (I think that is what it is?) attached to...
Thanks for the input. I wasn't ignoring but I pulled a bone head move. Not thinking, right after I posted this I posted a question about a genset that the auction hadn't started for yet :cookoo: Got banned for 3 daysaua
Anyway, I will be picking up the unit tomorrow morning. Sure would be nice...
Forgive me if I ask stupid questions, I am new at this Genset thing. I have been looking for an MEP-002a for several months, in fact over a year. I was waiting for the prices to fall a bit but it hasn't happened. In fact they just keep going up. Anyways, I did win an auction that GSA had on a...
