I still can't get this pump to send fuel to the injectors. The fuel pressure gauge pegs while I'm cranking it, but the injector lines are dry. I suppose I'll pull the pump and take it to the pump shop.

Thanks! I can't seem to get this injector pump to pump fuel to the injectors. I'm going to mess with it again tonight. If this thing doesn't work, I may be in the market for your pump.

I got my TM from Milradio today. It is in excellent condition. Thanks, Roy! I'll try to get this scanned soon so it can be added into the archives.

Ok, as long as these aren't necessary for normal operation, I won't worry about them. I ran into something else when I removed the rear cover from the generator head. Behind the switch on the rear cover, there is a small round thing on the rear of the armature that has 4 small round black...

I'm missing a 3 parts here. Does anyone know what these are and where I could find replacements? Looks like lights and / or fuses. The 2 big ones have threads around the edge, as if light lenses should screw over them.

Ok. I'll try to bleed the lines. It is getting oil pressure when it cranks. Does the wire on the injector bump be energized?

I'm still waiting on my TM from MILRADIO in England, but I did get the new fuel and oil lines installed, along with a new set of fuel filters. I bled the fuel system and repaired wires on the engine panel. Curiosity got the best of me, so I jumped across the starter solenoid to see what she...

I removed the crusty oil filter lines and fuel tank - to - filter line tonight. I'll make up some new ones tomorrow. I inspected the fuel filters, and they are both very clean and look new. For reference, the fuel filters on this D198 Hercules are AC # TP525 for the top filter and AC # TP511...

Hello. I have an old military generator, stock # 6115-627-9031. It is a 15KW unit with a Hercules 198 c.i. diesel engine. The mfg. date is 5-25-60. This thing has been sitting since the military sold it. We've had the thing since around '84, and it was idle for years before we got it. First...
