    Thanks, Maybe I will get one of these rings and if I were to mill 3/16 out of the inner dia it would give me 3.375 dia ID. This is just to pull a 6000 lb pickup.

    It says 3 inch inside diameter and 1 5/8 inch thickness of the ring. http://www.reese-hitches.com/products/Forged_Adjustable_Tow_Ring,909330 Would be on a towbar to pull my pickup truck back home behind a 5 ton that I don't Yet currently own. Thanks
