We had a hett crew try to drag a Bradley on the m1000 trailer and didn't want to listen to us when we said cross the cables.
Long story short it took my 88 and another to put the Bradley back on the trailer after they put it on its side.
Funny site, luckily we told all the soldiers to stay...
You couldn't do anything on the engine without pulling he cab.
Extending the nose and exposing the engine more make it better for servicing.
Adding oil on these is a pita. You need a flex funnel that has at least a 2' length or you are going to be spilling oil everywhere.
Yeah it is a pain in the rear end running bobtail. You don't do it often but when you do you wish you could disable rear steer.
We only did it a handful of times in Iraq. Mainly when another het was hit and the trailer was good we would send out a hett to recover the het, and a het to recover...
