    I broke the front axle

Yeah the other side looked ok. At first I did not know what side had broke so I started on the drivers side and it was in one piece and looked good and straight with no twisting on the splines.

    I broke the front axle

I did and it is in one spot. but it's not leaking and I still get 60 PSI when going down the highway so it must not be restricted enough to matter.

    I broke the front axle

I used to be a machinist and did some millwright work in the shop as well. If I had to guess from experience I should have between .001 and .003 slop in the setting so I should be ok.

    I broke the front axle

Well Truck is back together and took it for a short spin and everything seems great. The brakes work much better now and the steering as a bit tighter then it was before. I am attributing both to the bad bearings on the drivers side. Everything else looked great after disassemble. The inner...

    I broke the front axle

Oh that wasn't that bad. It never hopped at all doing that and I had help! I had been planning to smash this car for a year. We put a bunch of holes in it before attempting to run it over, so that was fun at least.

    I broke the front axle

Yeah I am thinking of something to do with the chunk that broke off. Maybe drill and tap it and make a knob out of it... I do plan to take the other end and hang it in the garage as a reminder. At the time it was fun so I don't really care.

    I broke the front axle

That's just it.. the one on the other side looked brand new and had great looking grease. I do plan to at least take the rear 4 hubs off and have a look before I call this project done. I hope that one is the only fluke. Seems my stupidity saves the day!

    I broke the front axle

Took the front end apart. Good thing I broke it, that bad bearing is the one on the drivers side. I would have hated to have it break on the way to/from Haspin. I hope to have it back together next weekend. Lesson learned.

    I broke the front axle

It wasn't in any water when it was stuck in the swamp nor did I drive it through any. I learned in the swamp not to drive where you can't see what you are driving on, and smashing the car... well don't do that again. I think after spending 4k I know what the limits of my truck now are. :oops...

    I broke the front axle

Don't I have to basically take it down to the knuckle to pull them out?

    I broke the front axle

It went exactly how I thought it would except for the front axle part. It was funny, the car was under the front driver wheel and the truck was wearing it like a roller skate. Eastern has rebuilt axles for 2450 and I have a place I can have them shipped to, so that is an option for me at this...

    I broke the front axle

Me being dumb again! I had just got the truck back after being stuck in a marsh on some logs for 4 weeks, and decided lets try and run over a car! Well the truck got stuck on top of the car and I am pretty sure I snapped a drive axle in the front. I have no power at the front wheels. All I...
