    Thx. Got the plate off and gasket material scraped off around the plate. Can’t get rid to set fully in shaft, it sticks out about a quarter inch at most. Should be able to bolt up with little resistance.

    I don't see a plate behind the pump. Is it bolted in or held in by RTV? Can it be coerced with a rubber mallet?

    Currently attempting to replace the mechanical fuel pump in my 998 with a 6.2 l. Is there A trick to getting the push rod back up in the block? It seems stuck
