    jasonjc, thanks i read that thread and some others also. it does look like a 900 series truck would fit my needs better. but it sounds like there was a differece betwwen the USMC trucks are different than a normal one. if anyone knows about this could you please give me some info on it.

    moose, I would not rule out a 5 ton for me but I don't know enough about them. I am reading about them and trying to find out what would fit my needs better. there seems to be alot more different types of 5 tons, with different motors and trannys. I just need to do some more research.

    I found this thread to be the most interesting one I have read so far. I am very interested in what you do moose. I too want almost the same thing you do. I need to haul my 28 foot toyhauler with a 2200 lb sandrail inside so it weighs in at about 11000 fully loaded and I want to take down...
