Jim Henry volunteered the use of a large tent if the weather is questionable. I'll bring it with me Friday, and if anyone needs to me to pick up anything else at Jims', let me know and I'll bring it to URE.

There's picnic tables, water spigots, grills,tent sites in the woods and a large open area all in site B.

The restrooms/shower house is nicer than most Nat'l Forest campgrounds.

I've never camped in the group areas at Uwharrie so I rode out and checked it out today. It's a nice place and Badin Lake is very close at Kings Point day use area. There were a couple of guys painting the restrooms and showers for us! Both are nice and clean. Here's a few pics of the rally site...

I rode out to Uwharrie today, saw 2 turkeys and the trees are buddin'. It should be nice next month. :beer:

You guys keep in mind that I live less than 30 minutes away from URE in Albemarle. My place is available before, during or after the event for use as a meeting place to convoy in or whatever is needed. If there's anyway I can help, just let me know. BTW, There has been alot of BigFoot activity...

I just spoke to Melissa at the Troy rangers office. She asked about wheelbase and # of axles. She confered with another ranger and came back to say," You'll be limited by the width of some trails and tight spots", "the easier trails will be ok though". I asked about 2.5 ton trucks with tandems...
