I wondered about that. With 6 to 8" of snow in the forecast, it was decided to drop the transmission so we could work on it inside. We got it out last night and hope to tear it apart soon so that we can have it back together for the next big snow that we get. Tim

It is really foamy. I didn't know that gear oil/trans lube tar could support that many bubbles. It has a brown color that (probably) indicates the presence of water. It's nasty, no doubt. The picture was taken just minutes after shutdown as we had the tunnel cover off and were running it...
