Well the CTIS is fixed. I know online diagnostics is a difficult business. However it was a leak inside the CTIS valve block, not the governor or the Air compressor or the Air Dryer. But I guess it was still a good idea to replace the Air dryer filter cartridge inside the air Dryer. without...
New air dryer cartridge. Turned governor screw out a lot.
Pressure doesn't raise. ~90psi.
ctis PSU pressure is a bit lower.
Cycling air and pushing brake pedal. Drained tanks a few times.
P>S> the CTIS starts it's magic at around 70PSI.
Parts get here pretty fast. I want to see if I really need one. The cartridge was stuck pretty goo and there was some goo in there. So It could be the air dryer , what's causing it.
I didn't find a service manual. And no one here seems to know how to service it properly or to know when it needs servicing.
The Air compressor is making noises that don't give me confidence that it works as it should.
I have cranked up the pressure quite a bit. It still reads less than 120PSI in the cab. The CTIS comes on a lot. Which could be a leaky air hose (I suspect the right front frame to wheel air hose, it has a bit of a frayed appearance, where all others are nice and smooth)
It could also be a bad...
I took a couple of screen shots of the Dana diagnostic tool. So you basically need a laptop like this Panasonic toughbook cf29 with a serial connector. A serial cable, a Dearborn III plus adaptor and a Deutsch cable to connect to the truck. Or whatever older equivalent would connect to the other...
I had to stop (the battery of my laptop was low) But I have the sneaky suspicion that the Air pump is at fault. BTW as you can see the CTIS doesn't just turn on at 115 PSI. It was running at 81 and 78PSI at the PSU sensor, there.
that would not help me, since I don't have a USB dearborn adaptor or any use for the newer software. I have a laptop with serial port. But anyway, I got the Dana software to work on this laptop. For the dearborn diagnostics I can use the other laptop
did some one get the Dana software to work? I have the latest version (older versions are not available for download ) and it doesn't connect with the CTIS eco or keeps crashing.
I tried to find older versions of the software 2.0 or 1.2, but they are not available anymore.
I am using mu MSD...
