    24V winch on 12V truck

    You guys are confirming what I already suspected. I guess I could connect series and parallel and only have one ckt complete at a time, but that seems excessively complex and a lot of trouble to go to, with a high potential to screw something up. Thanks for the info. Paul you have PM

    I have 24V series 12 WARN winches and am tempted to mount one on my civvy dodge 3500. The (cummins diesel) truck has 2 batteries so it seems that this should be a relatively trivial exercise. My worries are that I'd send 24v through the rest of the electrical system and fry things. I don't have...
