I hope that the trucks at Anneville do not see more ripping off happening. From one post on a thread I heard they have seen theft at this site. I am planning on calling them in a few hours to see if they can secure my two trucks since I really need them whole. Is anyone close that can see if...

Thanks Ted: I saw they even have HMMWV contact trucks now that use a huge invertor instead of the PTO generator. Those look really cool but I think it will be a while before we see them in GL. I am going to have to adjust my equipment list since it is currenty maxxed out.

I am hoping that mine did not get forked over by GL... the passenger door is about all that is dented and the truck looks to be in pretty good shape. All of you who asked about the manuals please check your inbox. How far are you from Balitmore in WV?

Thanks that other thead had a lot of good information on it. I also found all of the manuals they were on the restricted side of the LOGSA site so I can not release them on the web. If someone needs a copy I could burn a CD of them and send them as long as they are not terrorists or enemies of...

OK I am learning about this from a distance. I see it has a 205 transfer case to handle the PTO but in none of the manuals I have downloaded are any of the ways to operate the PTO given. Does anyone here have experience using the PTO driven generator that comes with my truck?

Thanks but I can download it off of the Army web page with my active duty log on. I really appreciate the thought. Thanks for the TM number I was trying to find it so this really will make it easer than typing in the NIIN.

Well I am back in Korea so my boys have to help me out. I will be sending in the EUC this week and then the SF97 I am looking forward to getting back home for good to really start working on all the trucks and trailers and this truck will let me store all the tools where I need them without...

Thanks Kenny, I noticed a strange looking thing in the picture of the engine right up front on top is that a speed control for the PTO? It is at Fort Indiantown Gap. I am setting up the arangements to get it picked up when the EUC clears.

The real answer to that is when the Army finally promotes me. If it is soon and they force me to retire it could be as soon as March of 2009 if they want to keep me around for a while longer it might be a year or two more. I know my wife would like me home sooner and this truck fits perfectly...

Thanks: You know I never even thought about it but I see Johnfire has an M1028 Contact truck and I got to thinking that most of the ones I remember were M1028, what is the main difference between the two?

Wow this is so cool I may ask for your help in picking it up if my boys have trouble coming up from Baltimore since they work and are in College during the week. I am excited about it having an on board power pack as it will fire up my welder and aircompressor and all the power tools as well...

RE: M1031 I never count anything as mine anyway God gives and takes away and we all go out with only the spiritual things. I understand and love the free society we live in so as in so many auctions if someone else wants if for more than I am willing to pay they have the right. I am hoping...

RE: M1031 Thanks Kenny: I remember the miles in an M1008 on the road and remembering that they slowed down coasting downhill. If I win this one tomorrow it will form the basis for my retirement repair service. I have all the tools to put in it and hope that I can get it for my bid.

Anyone have one of these? I am currently on top of one right now and my son said he will pick it up if I win it. Just wondered if they are geared lower than a M1008.
