    Forward Operating Base In-a-Can

That's better than needing a platoon, for sure; but still: - That's two more than just ONE only.

That's pretty slick how the units come with their own storage compartment (AND on casters). I don't know the LMTV too well, and curious about the half-round "harnesses" (five to a side), around the inside perimeter of your LMTV. Are those a kind of bottle/tank-holder or something, or maybe the...

    Forward Operating Base In-a-Can

Spending time in the woods is always time well spent. The first and only time I ever met a rattlesnake (Timber Rattler) was one mid-morning packing up my bag in White Oak Canyon of the Shenandoah National Park. She was cruising through the campsite. That is a beautiful animal. I never saw one...

    Forward Operating Base In-a-Can

That's pricey at almost a $1 a foot: - But the good news is it will never wear out on you; last you as long as you'll ever need it.

    Forward Operating Base In-a-Can

I was thinking of things like Marathons, "Fun" runs, art fairs, craft fairs, river clean-ups, and things like that (lot of those around here in the DC area). I bet your set-up would make those groups salivate (compared to the home-grown set-ups they typically run).

Tim292, can't remember if you mentioned this already, and if you had a commercial plan behind all this: - I'll bet there might be people wanting to make use of this set-up for all kinds of various situations Are you planning to make your rig available for charter?

    Forward Operating Base In-a-Can

I never even heard of (much less witnessed) somebody tipping an RT. That thought is scary (it's a big piece of equipment), and I have been thinking about this and I think I got the picture: - The active duty EO's I worked with were mostly fresh out of "A" school, and so I'm guessing played all...

    Forward Operating Base In-a-Can

We had them with battalion in the Seabees, also: - An all-purpose workhorse I saw them used as hoists, mobile scaffolds, loaders, buckets; you name it. As inventive as the battalion was, the RT's could do it all. Never saw one with the on-board crane though. Liking that.

I like the Rough Terrain (RT) forklift, even sports a small derrick aft the operator; slick.

That's always good that Momma is tight with your money, somebody's go to do it. And truth is they're usually the best at it. Been that way since the world began I do believe. But when you need to squeak past that expertise, you are always best served by some Old-Time Sy-Kol-O-Gee: Make the...

Maybe tell her it's an opportunity to connect and get to know some new people (:shrugs:): - Sometimes playing the social card can get you buy-in from Momma.
