Try opening the -24 TM, and look at the troubleshooting diagram. You are creating a problem here. Working on two gen sets in the same thread. No one, not even you, can keep track of what is what now.
Where is that sending unit for the oil pressure gauge located? The diagram on the inside of the door does not really show anything, and there's no photos on the TM.

Ray, your right, thats the way it looks. And hooking up the batteries could blow the CR1. I keep thinking of the old sets, and there is no diode in them.
S17 is the big red switch on the panel. Pull it out.
Put the S10 in the normal position. It has CRANK, OFF and normal. First try the CRANK position, it should turn the engine over. Then put it in the normal position.
First tell me you have pushed in the CB1 circuit breaker in the control panel.
Then check the S17, emergency switch on the control panel.
Then check the S10 Dead crank switch on the left side of the set, to see if its in the right position. If you push it to crank, will the engine crank...
