Lol...I used to buy those Bussman fuses for $0.75...and a box of six for $4.29. Kinda like humvee parts...they are not making anymore so they can charge crazy prices...

I always wanted to convince the CECOM to go to a pop out Circuit Breaker, like CB1. Made more sense to me, then fooling with that silly glass fuse.

Yes you can. Sometimes when we were in the field, of the supply system took too long, we did that until we got the real deal.

So...if I just wrapped this $25.99 (was 0.59 cents 18 years ago) burned out fuse in thin aluminum and slapped it back in there, would I be wrong? Lol...I cannot find one in San Antonio ...the second largest city in Texas, and 6th largest in the USA.

They can also be used when checking for dead- shorts. You can connect them across the main circuit breaker (with it open) and start disconnecting items one by one. When this self resetting circuit breaker no longer trips, then you’ll know you found your dead short.

yeah...but it's a 125 volt application. I think you can go up on voltage, but not below 125v.

You’re correct, these are for DC circuits only. They won’t work in an AC circuit.

There is nothing writen on the fuse to say its not to be used for VDC, or ONLY VAC. Fuse is a fuse.

AC and DC current are different animals when it comes to fuses and breakers.
Breaking AC current requires different characteristics in breakers and fuses than DC.
That why you may see a fuse rated for different AC and DC voltages.
