Drew, on a naturally aspirated diesel engine it is ok to run it back in to the intake. On a turbo charged diesel engine it is a no no! It creates a very real danger for a runaway. The problem is not when all is well, as you pointed out, it will not get enough oil to matter. If you have a piston...
So wait a second WM, do you mean with all your famous talking skills you have totally failed to convince Drew, that he absolutely needed that ISO bed for his SEMTT?!?!
This is really almost borderline "somewhat disappointing"......Not sure what to say here..... lol
The truck looks really cool Drew, you did a great job and I really like the green color to! I'm also glad you got the cooling problem isolated. I would certainly fix or replace the actuator....mine only comes on occasionally and I feel it would give you better fuel mileage if it does not stay on...
Sorry.....Just could not resist.....it sounded too funny and at first glance it even looked right!
But it was in no way my intention to be offensive....my apologies to you Ron! I certainly have done this kind of stuff way to many times myself....

That is one AWESOME looking truck Drew! I really like the way it all comes together and looks like a unit, when paint is applied!
I like the door logo....that is going to look sharp. I agree that the big 'empty' doors are just asking for some kind of markings or emblems.
So in order to match...
I can highly relate to that, after my recent painting venture on the FEMTT! Seems like every time I turn around, I see another spot that I've missed.....
Speedo looks good btw...!

On the FEMTT, I have used three gallons so far and two thirds of a case (12 cans to a case) of spray paint for the small stuff.
I bought four gallons (It is cheaper to ship...
I have been using the paint from RAPCO for close to 20 years now and have had really good luck with it. I really don't like to do prep work, so the fact that this paint can paint over just about every surface and even dirt, makes it perfect for me.
It is also pretty affordable at around...
Wow! It is really coming together nicely, sorry to hear about your pump. Good thing you know how to fix the problem!
I can't wait to see some good daytime pics with the crane in action.
Just curious though, do you have enough room in your front fenders to clear the tires, even when one is fully...
Looks great 'patracy'! I'm glad to see that you are back on the project....I know it can get frustrating somtimes when undertaking a huge project, and things don't progress quite as fast as we would like them to, but I also know that you are going to be very happy with the truck when you get it...
