Frame is ready for final preparation, prior to priming and painting.

The good thing is the project is to the point where the only way to go now.. is back together.

I do not know the exact weight, but I guestimate it would be no more the 2000 lbs.

Down to the bare bones...

More progress...U-bolts holding rear leaf springs have 64 years of rust accumulation, which made them the most difficult fasteners to remove so far. Also got a quote of $900 to sandblast the bare frame, so I may end up using a wire brushes and a needle gun to clean up the frame prior to priming it.

She is almost down to the bare bones.

I would agree with your assessment sir, especially considering the age of truck. She ought to look pretty good after I sandblast, prime and put a couple coats of 24087 on her.

Removed the tweaked rear cross-member and everything bolted to the frame up to the transmission.

I wish I had a wrecker. I used my Massey Ferguson 30B loader to lift off the cab (see the red beastie to the right of the truck in 2nd picture in post #69).

Here she is without the cab and pics of the tags on the transmission, PTO and engine.

Removed the custom "Composite Hardtop", the steering box, all the wires, fasteners and lines necessary for removing the cab.

Finally lifted the dump hoist frame off the truck.

After I get the old girl stripped down to the frame my first project will be to remove the seriously tweaked rear cross member. It looks like someone connected a hook to the lower right rear part of the cross member and let her rip. Its a shame they did not put a little more thought into where...

Thanks...It a nice place to live when its not raining/snowing. Maybe someday I will build a shop, so I can work on my projects year round.

Finally had a chance to remove the dump box today. She looks pretty sporty minus the dump box and with the A3 hood rake. ;)

It does not appear to be cracked right now. Where did you end up finding your replacement?
