It was some bracket that came from a 998 I think. I have no idea what it went to. I have 3 of them in the big box of crap and parts that was in my 105 when I got it.
When we took mine apart to check the pins I noticed it looked like it could be turned around. I have been thinking about this. My dad suggested mounting it on the tranny hump and it would be a good idea switched.
That is the biggest issue, my wife rides center and my kid on the side in a car seat. It couldn't block her feet. I actually had her sit in it before i bolted everything down just to make sure she had plenty of room.
Welp, got tired of pinching my hand every time I wanted to turn it on and off so me and my Dad decided to rewire the whole mess.
Only this time I had access to a pile of brackets, a mx7777/grc and some much better soddering ability from my paps. I think the new setup is a heck of a lot better...
I have that cable end. It appears that the only difference is that the center pin is male rather than female.
Difference in the cable that goes to the radio mount. That is where I have power routed through.
I have actually been thinking about installing a switch in the dash for it. My dad was looking at the diagram of the 7777 and said he could make them pretty easy. I am waiting on how that turns out before I go out and get one.
I thought about putting the amp there, but I could not get to it easily. It can't be on when you start up the truck and the bench doesn't fold down easy with a baby seat installed.
BTW, could someone move this to the deuce mod area? I dun goofed.
Well, finally installed the VIC-1 system I ordered.
I used a mt1029 radio mount under the passenger bench for power, and then the standard AM1780 amp with 2 crew stations. I plan on adding 2 more to the system once I get the parts.
It worked out pretty well. My deuce is a soft top so I didn't...
