I did not bang on switch, I actually had a used control box that I know works and put it on trying a process of elimation, same result, the question I have is could I have mixed wires that go to distribution box, ( same plug) and would it run, and if I switched them would I burn out something? Dist box is brand new. All terminal are shiny and lugs look like a polished brass piece. Now I know what a new machine must look like.
