    Oil Plug Above Filter Removal

    The plug turned out to indeed use a 1/4” plug socket. The socket fit much tighter than a 1/4” drive extension did so I was able to get it out with relative ease. Mission accomplished!

    Thanks for the ideas! That makes sense that the plug is larger than 1/4". I tried some heat already but I didn't want to get it too hot so it wasn't enough to help. I'm going to get a pipe plug socket set and give that a try. It has 1/4, 9/32, and 5/16 (as well as other sizes) Hopefully...
