Found this in PS mag #304 (1978). It gives an idea of date of color change.

Painted the "bridge plate" on the passenger door this evening. I consider my deuce a variant of the pipeline truck, so "11" it is.

I am still interested in getting the dimensions for the passenger door marking. Diameter, width of lines and height of numbers, please.

Check ebay Jim, the bridgeplate pops up from time to time. I paid $10 plus shipping for mine and it was complete with all the numbers and the "C".

Thanks, guess I havn't been paying attention. :oops: Anybody have dimensions for the painted on mark? Checked David Doyle's "Standard Catalog" pages 500-501, and he has "6" for the M105 trailer, doesn't that seem a bit high (the number is fixed for a given vehicle)....and what about the...

Found this in a 1968 PS Magazine. Don't recall seeing the bridge plate marking on the door of any vehicle or trailer, was that practice discontinued? Uploaded it here...
