    Relocating front axle 5" forward

No worries. I never measured but they lengthened all the torsion rods so i would think they kept the center pivot point in the center. I will measure it as soon as it stops raining just to know.

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

i would love to see pics. I know exactly what you mean, I cant stand the look of the wheel placement in the 5ton fender. it just looks wrong IMO.

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

Ridgerunner, I do not know who did the original lift but i think remember a previous owner saying something about re-arching the springs 7". I have a few pics and a video walk-a-round. I did the video for someone that i was talking to on the phone one day, so thats why some of the...

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

thanks... looking forward to the pics and info. I never had the pan off but after seeing the pic of that modded pan, i would think the rear part of the pan would stay the same so i could leave that pickup alone. i would only be modding the larger front part and would only need to mod that sump...

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

I agree that under any normal circumstances I would not want to relocate the front axle and look to other options first. I could easily relocate the batteries to the bed, and i could move the tool box to the place where the spare tire would be (i dont have anything there and i use the box)...

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

you would be correct about my steering setup. Now that the truck is running good and all the distracting things are taken care of, i am looking at working on the front end at the same time. i am not sure i understand about "running a rear bogie with one half longer than the other." if you are...

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

wow... everybody has some awesome ideas. Walkerhunter... that does look awesome. I would love to see more pics especially what you did with the exhaust. Also did you put your fuel tank in the bed? I think i saw a tiny bit of something hiding there. The bad part is the truck is so high that i...

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

I just grabbed a quick pic from the side. I think whatever this dimension is would be how much I can move it forward. Obviously i don't want to move it dangerously close but i think i have room to play.

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

That sounds like a bit more work in the long run. I think it would look cleaner just moving the axle.

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

Thanks... I cant really think how to lengthen the fenders rearward. The tires almost hit the steps when the wheel is turned. Moving the J pipe will help.

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

5" was just a estimate. I am not sure how far forward i can go. 3" would even be a big help. That and i can somehow reroute the j pipe to gain a few more.

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

I havent measured but i think i will be ok. These arn't the best pics but it's all I have for now

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

The tires are defiantly to big, but thats the idea. They moved the 3rd axle 10" further back to make room for the 53's and lengthened that drive shaft and torsion rods. It just seems like they overlooked doing similar to the front. I dont think those Hot rivets will give Mr. Plasma cutter a...

    Relocating front axle 5" forward

I know this sounds like a crazy idea and you may wonder why. Let me explain first then I am open to thoughts and Ideas. When whoever did the lift in my truck to accommodate the 53's seemed to overlook something. The rear of the front tires have almost no clearance to the rear of the front...
