Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

The peddle goes down 3-4 inches and is hard. It matches the steering. haha. Is it that thing in the break line with the wires coming out of it just after the master cyl? If it is, i might still have it... If not im sure its still on one of my parts trucks.

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Here is what i did. Just removed air pack and hooked it up as if it were never there. i rebuilt the master cyl an ran all new lines to the T on the frame. All the rest of the break lines look good. Just surface rust. i also removed the break light switch. I think thats what that thing was under...

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Keep in mind that my truck will not have any air on it due to the fact my truck was too far gone... (Air lines smashed/farmertized) ill try to get some pics sometime this weekend.

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Well i have to say (right or wrong) I completely removed the air pack on my truck and redid all the lines around it and bled the system and it stops! Fairly easily too! I have never used/experienced properly working breaks on an m135 before but i'd say its good for 1954...? I towed the truck...

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

not sure about the split diff issue,... but it would be best if you could get your hands on a compressor that bolts to the front cover under the IP were the vac pump/power steering pump is normally located. i know they make em and would be nicer than a belt driven setup in my opinion. I'm sure...

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

If its a getrag then its probably a np205. Big ol cast iron girl! Good stuff! If it were a nv4500 on a np205 then i'd be lookin into shipping already! Its what i need for my 81 chevy/cummins project. Does anybody know how strong the t-case is on the m135/211's? I've heard that the guys with...

It is a nv4500 2wd. I'm not positive but i believe the motor plate is the same on auto and standard tranys. Ill look into it and get back to ya on that! So you have a 4x4 nv4500 with a transfer case? Or is it a getrag? DLD or DHD transfer case? Just curious!

Here are some pics of the clearances of the tightest areas on my project. It may be hard to tell but there is 3/4" between the firewall and back of head. I'm going to do some trimming on the battery tray near the fuel filter housing. Also notice the tranny cross member! Turned out pretty...

I have to say, it is such a relief after you get the engine sitting where its going to stay! So what are your plans for wiring the interior of the truck? Is the original wiring ok yet? Are you going to rewire it? Converting to 12v?

oops!... yeah your right on the ratio. I've been off topic too long I guess. I didn't weld on the frame at all but, that doesn't mean I wouldn't if I had to. It's not like an over the road semi where you're dealing with the heavy loads and high speeds. Chances are you'll never put 20k miles...

Its good to see that you keep chuggin away at your project! Seems like you have about as much time to work on your truck as i do mine... feels like they will never get finished some days. Just spent the last hour reading this thread and seems that you have fallen on all of the same problems...
