    Hard top fitment questions

They move but not far enough back unfortunately. Knees are in the dash even in the farthest back setting. The seats only go up when you go forward. They don’t have just up/down or just forward/backwards. 3 positions with the farthest forward being for umpa loompa’s I think.

    Hard top fitment questions

I was mainly just wondering if anyone has ever been bouncing along and went “**** I wish there was a couple more inches of clearance”. Wasn’t really lookin for exact numbers just do you ever wish for more head room? I don’t have high backs just stock seats with no up and down. How much taller do...

    Hard top fitment questions

Thanks for the pics! Now it’s time to start cutting and welding and hope for the best. I think I can make my own version of the mounts for my top or at least make something that will work. I do have two more questions. #1 How does the back of the cab usually connect to the top and the rest of...

    Hard top fitment questions

What is the difference between the C pillar I have and the one you are supposed to have for a hard top? You can’t tell anything from the pics in post 7 other than the windshield frame sits tight to the top. You can see any of the mounts. Can someone post a picture of the mounts on their hard top...

    Hard top fitment questions

I understand it will still be custom. That doesn’t bother me. I just want to see how all the other hard tops out there fit and how they are attached. Good to know the front has mounts. How about the B and C pillars?

    Hard top fitment questions

I don’t have a turret unfortunately so no worries there. How do the tops usually attach to the B and C pillar? How does the top attach to the windshield frame? Are they bolted or welded? How far down the pillars does the edge of the top go? I am trying to get a good idea of what normal aluminum...

    Hard top fitment questions

So on most setups there is either no B pillar or it fits tight to the B pillar? How about the C pillar?

    Hard top fitment questions

It is all aluminum. Aluminum doors with windows that go up and down. Aluminum roof and aluminum cab back. The cab back. The back window has been cut bigger and replaced with a back sliding window from an 80’s Chevy pickup.

    Hard top fitment questions

No idea who the manufacturer is. It doesn’t look bad I just like the look of them the way they are original. Any pictures of the inside of a normal hard top would be great. I think this might be a normal size hard top just has a spaced up roof and tall doors.

    Hard top fitment questions

I have a 93 M1038 with a tall hard top and hard doors but I prefer the standard height top so I am thinking about taking it back to regular height. I am pretty sure my top and back of the cab are standard size. Doors are taller but I can cut off whatever is necessary to make them fit (or trade...
