FORUM ETIQUETTE: Thread Hijacking 101 It is polite to keep a thread on topic. If an idea is sparked by an existing thread, please go start a new one rather than hijacking the current topic. The original poster can end up confused or disrespected by the direction a thread takes. It is especially...

Well, I have used mine just once, so far(plus a few small drives). 110 mile trip, hauled a trailer home with it. It went well. I really like it. I may do a tow bar recovery on an M109 with it soon. That will be about 300 miles of driving. Every time I drive it, I think of all the help I...

I was watching those trucks too! This time I was able to resist bidding. I'll have the M818 on the road next week.

Today I decided to solve the transmission oil leak issue. What I found was, a bad output shaft seal AND, the seal and bearing retaining plate was installed in the wrong position. The plate has two "grooves" that allow the oil to flow through the output shaft bearing and lube the seal. The...

Ted, I will not be needing the drag-link, I will send it back(with Lanes stuff). The trucker was great. Is there really an bad oil spot? Sorry... Thank you very much for your assistance and use of your place for storage. You made this very easy for me, and I appreciate it very much.

I ordered a seal for the Transmission, yesterday. Tinkered with a few other small things, in between rain showers. After seeing all the interest on that Girl/Flag thread, I'm considering asking my neighbor if she wants to do a photo shoot in/on my truck! Anyone here like 70+ year old...

I tightened the draglink ball socket and that seemed to solve the wheel wiggle. I looked at the fuel tank selector valve yesterday. It is frozen solid. I had the top nut/cover off and the inside section will not budge. Gonna have to replace it. I think I found the OEM valve and it's still...

Yes, he loaded them, himself. He called me when he arrived and we went over the truck starting and operating procedures, just to be sure he had no problems. I'm happy with my truck. I'd be happier if GL hadn't continued to use it, after I won and paid for it(it had no oil in the transmission)...

Lane, he has a load of cars to take back to MI. The truckers name is Steve Justice. His number is, 810-223-3616. He is an owner/operator. He lives in Michigan. I would recommend him to anyone here. He was easy to communicate with, and did a great job for a fair price.(IMHO).

I am still considering heading out there! Sure sounds like a CRAZY idea to pay to haul a truck home, just to drive it back out there! :cookoo:

Phase 2 I received a call Friday from a trucker(or a broker). They said I can have 2 M818s hauled here on Monday, for a fantastic price.I was at a show and did not have Glenn's number with me(thinking he has two broken trucks, and I had plans to go to Michigan for the Grayling gathering). This...

Mike, I can't express in words, how nice it was to have so much help offered. All you guys that offered to help(in many ways), really made this happen. Even my backup plans, had backup plans! I really appreciate it. Phase 1 is complete and was a great success. On to Phase 2!

Yeah, I know he's on the site. Not gonna repeat it here. Hope Tues goes well. This whole thing has had me sweating lately. No worries on the trailer sales,I understand one thing leads to another and so on...

Mike, I told Joe, Lane would be there at 8-8:30 am. Joe didn't say anything about the time not working for him. He did make one comment that worried me though.... Would you guys buy or sell your trailers in another thread please? (that's call "hijacking") A single comment is no big deal, but...

So, the pick-up date has been moved up to Tues, Lane and DaveP are gonna be there early and move the 3 M818s to TedGs. Mikeroot, if you get to pick-up your truck on Tues also, maybe you can meet up with them and help out or whatever(or Josh or anyone else).

If they move Glens on Tues, they may as well move mine too. It would be foolish to make you(Lane) drive over 6 hours r/t) to move one truck. I need to get back to Joe, as soon as we decide a firm plan. I told him they would be going on one of those two days. Mike, if you and Josh and...

PB, I think we want to get them to Ted's farm( a few more miles away). I have spoken with Lane, and he is tentatively planning on a Fri pickup. He was bringing along DaveP. I sent you (Josh) a pm, please give me a call.
