    Hiab knuckle boom crane

I did not. The guy wasn't interested in selling it once I got there. He showed it to me but wasn't budging on price or willing to help load.

I thought you sold that! I looked through your thread when I was searching K-booms. Unlike your crane, mine seems to have 2 postioins to pin the main Cyl in. Seems that would adjust its height capability.

Thanks Doc, I figured you'd have a way around it! Speed, I like the manual valves, I got used to them using my wrecker. I am getting kind excited.

    Hiab knuckle boom crane

I do. I will be contacting them and Hiab about hose fittings. You had picked up 3 of the cranes, right?

The spool valves moved easily and I saw no bad spots. Yes, more than the price of the wrecker, but not by much. Thanks Bjorn, its a little too light for me to read though.

I wasn't too concerned with the motor, I might have a Yanmar diesel going on it. The pitting is my biggest concern, but it is not as bad as it looks. It is cheap enough that I am still interested.

    Hiab knuckle boom crane

Went and looked at it today. It needs all its hoses replaced, the control levers were mostly broken off, and there is some pitting on the cyl chrome. Over-all, I am quite happy with it, but I am going to try to get him to come down on the price. There is out-riggers on it. It is also on some...

    Hiab knuckle boom crane

I had not planned on using it without being hooked to a truck. I am planning on having out-riggers.

I have a trailer that I might use it on, 5x10 still out at 54reo's. It is small but stout. The other option is extending an M200. Not too sure yet. First I want to make sure it runs like he said. If it doesn't, and won't budge on price, no deal.

    Hiab knuckle boom crane

From some info DH found me, I think its a Hiab 550. The weight and distance(capacities) are the same. This one has the bonus of a hydraulic rotator and a set of pallet forks on it.

Kenny, of the 4 pics I got, the pic of the base was too close to tell if it has them. I requested more pics that include the controls, base and motor, but I will be there Sat, so I will have my own pics soon.

Nah, thinking of mounting this one on a trailer. I will have a drop side bed on it too.

    Hiab knuckle boom crane

Going to inspect a crane this weekend. If it works like he says it does, I will be bringing it home. Its at a place where they know nothing about it other than it "works". Is there anywhere I can find info on model #s? Most of my searches are dead ends. I know it will lift 7klbs @ 6ft and...
