My new M220 soon to be camper

Well, Yeller is on the way to her new home in Wyoming with Carboarius. It will be within a couple hundred miles from where we found her. A little brake fluid, a tap on the float bowl and she fired up and drove right up the ramps without missing a beat. Hopefully it will be unloaded in a couple...

I have not slept there yet, but getting organized. We cut thru the pines to get into the back field. We also planted 325 trees this weekend. I'm going to get the winch driveline in this summer and drag some logs up the hill.

My new M220 soon to be camper

Yesterday I installed the rebuilt water pump and got her road worthy. Then a friend offered to haul it to its new home. Mustard is heading 30 miles up the road on top of the ridge where we own a small piece of property. Campsite!

Thank you for the info. I use no gas additives. Until recently ethanol free gas was not readily available to me. A station was sold and the new owner offers ethanol free premium on one pump. It costs $.50 more, but it is worth it for anything that will sit for more than a week. Right the...

My new M220 soon to be camper

I do not understand what is in my carburetor. When it is in the carb bowl its like a 1/4" layer of brown slimy oatmeal. I piled it on a board and it turned to a fine gray powder that reminds me of cement mix, a very fine powder. This is the third time, however I have not done the entire system...

My new M220 soon to be camper

So after the never ending fuel problem, the boys and I ripped everything out. Fuel tank, pump, lines, hoses and carburetor. I have done everything before over time with the result being ongoing problems I cannot count how many times it has been drained and cleaned. Gasoline is either milky or...

My new M220 soon to be camper

Today I replaced the screen on the last 4 frames. I used charcoal color aluminum screen and 0.140 diameter black spline. I tried the fiberglass but I could not get it tight. There were waves in the screens. The aluminum was much more forgiving. It stayed in the groove without the spline when...

Got a few days off. Painted the frames. They have been drying for a week so they should be solid enough to run mew steel screen back in. I did the other 2 this summer and it went well. I sanded and repainted all the lights as well. I have 9 watt/60w led bulbs for the 6 110v lights. I will get...

My new M220 soon to be camper

After years of struggling with fuel related problems I decided it is time to solve the problem. I can't count how many times the tank has been cleaned and fuel pumps rebuilt, replaced and repaired, filters replaced, leaks fixed, and carb cleaned. I ordered a shiny new aluminum 15 gallon fuel...

My new M220 soon to be camper

Get into is not my problem, it is the get out. I always sleep with my head on the higher side so when I wake up to P at night I'm all confused. No idea where to step. Had a close call this summer when I got my hand on the edge of the mattress and the edge coils were not as stiff as the ones in...

My new M220 soon to be camper

I'm working on a camper remodel. I decided to rework the bunk bed first. Instead of twin over twin I cut the top down to 30"' deep for a 4" custom size foam mattress. With 4" foam mattresses the top bunk can be lowered so the windows can be opened. Also the narrower top bunk makes it so the...

My new M220 soon to be camper

Back at it. the left door hinge was froze when I got the truck. Had to take the door off and work them one by one. When I did the inside a few years ago I did not prep a few spots that were sanded to bare metal. The result was rust thru the latex. We are sanding the rusty spots and priming them...

My assumption is the trans went out. The cover is off the torus/flywheel. Otherwise it is old dirty and growing trees and weeds out of the cab and bed. I estimate 20 years of dirt and vegetation. Hard on the floors. Has the rust bubbling where the sides of the cab meet the floor coming thru. too bad

intake duct hose... Universal radiator hose. 3.5" I.D. x 16" long. 18"' would have been perfect. Do you think I can find another one?

Scored some new parts today. Half of a PTO shaft, PTO lockout, a pair of good taillights and mounts, a pair of bumper tins and a single rear clevis. $40 form Swanson Salvage Blair, Wisconsin. Here is the truck the parts came from. I see the plug is missing on the bell housing and it has brackets...
