Great, mine is #15, and from the quad cities. Actually from Rock Island Arsenal, which is an island in the middle of the river, and used to be a military prison. I was the one that advanced the idea of the flooding after looking at mine and remembering the news reports of the Mississippi floods...
I usually glow mine for about a minute. They are definitely not a quick starting engine like a 6cta 8.3 in an A2 5 ton. Once running, they're fine. What sn is yours?? Is it from the quad cities or from the recent CA sale?? I'm curious about the latest ones that sold as the military price was...
I'm guessing 40-45° lift. Problem I see is if using for a dump trailer with dirt it may not empty well. My old 5 ton 6x6 dump actually tilted just over 90°. My newer one tilted probably 75-80°. End dump semi trailers raise really high and unfortunately fall over sideways quite often if on a...
Artisan, did you see some more self loading trailers showed up. These showed our military gave over $82K was.
I took mine on a trip to Texarkana and the brackets all broke off the hydraulic tank and a edge cracked open about 4". The bottom almost rubbed through. Couldn't believe it was mounted...
There is a radiator mfg in Ontario, Canada called Laval. I believe it's a mounting application problem, not a mfg's problem.

They probably won't be cheap either, they sold for around 10k in new but flooded condition ( of course they knew that but washed them and never told us). They had mud in the starters and wouldn't run but other than that and the rusty caliper bolts ,bad batteries they were never used. They cost...
I put new batteries in my trailer (the originals would start it on a warm day unbelievably so) and did some thinking. Since the motor only has one speed(2500rpm??), I see why they engineered it to start only after the oil pressure is up. This way the motor has good oil pressure and doesn't have...
I believe one can mount the 3 lights in the center of the rear cross member, in between the taillights and rollers and they will be sufficiently protected. I unhooked one of my front latch switch plug in connectors and the bed works great. Wow it literally jumps up. Must have a reduced size...
Well I got the brushes looses and put the starter back in but no go.
Took it apart and gave the brush springs another 1/2 turn tighter and it worked fine. Cracked the injector top lines, primer bulbed it and SUCCESS! It sounds great , reprogrammed the remote as per the instructions here. Thanks...
Artisan,
Are you sure you want to use 1/2" plate. Wow that will make your trailer very heavy. Truck beds are at the most 1/4" tread plate. AW Direct from WI has the keyhole slot backing plates I believe. Should make your tie downs easy. I was thinking of using weld in D rings.
Still soaking my...
