Yes, but I believe it was mainly because the ole muddy missisip flooded them all and they wouldn't run.

Has anyone thought of using a M1077 flatrack with this trailer? I have been thinking of ways to add a deck without defeating the original purpose of loading a container. In pictures it looks like it has the same points as a container to mount the front rollers to.

Yes, I have considered it, but the weight kills it for me.
You could weld in more cross members for support and
you could deck it w/ up to 7/16" thickness of whatnot
I do believe. If you want to just drive on and off you
can do this just where the tires hit the floor and not
deck the whole trailer too. I have also considered
some long pieces of Gripstrut or a like material
that you could bolt on and off...

Very cool trailer!! I have not seen one before. Has anyone tried to haul a car on it? or is it too steep for most cars?
Looks like I have a radiator leak. My intel says these motors are sold
by Perkins and others add the radiator of there choice to the APU. There is only ONE
support/bracket at the top from the block, to he radiator. Mine was broken, it definitely is too
small and MUST be addressed gentlemen. If you remove the radiator a heads up,
there are 2 rubber fender type washers at the bottom you need to save
or replac somehow. I call it a 1.25" wide rubber washer that is .25" thick w/ a
.26" hole in the center.
If anyone has any info on the radiator ITSELF I would appreciate a reply.
Please link me to the replacement radiator.
I pulled my radiator and on the bottom there is a sticker that says;
CU1573 108329 0126
MADE IN CANADA
LAVAL
Then another sticker says;
VOID WARRANTY IS NOT FLUSHED AND FILLED WITH NEW ANTIFREEZE/COOLANT AND DISTILLED WATER.
I see some dissimilar metal galvanic type action going on.
The tiny screws that hold the fan shroud to the radiator I think
are steel and should maybe be changed to SS.
Who makes this EXACT radiator?
My bracket from block to radiator is snapped in 1/2 guys...
It is worth a look to make sure yours is ok.

The radiator issue that ALL OF YOU WILL EXPERIENCE is a real challenge.
As I see it, Perkins sells motors and it is up to the builder to supply the
radiator, thus it is not available / obsure. There are some numbers on the radiator
but I have exhausted all resources trying to replace it, and even if I could
I bet ya it would be a $1200.00 radiator. Insane it is...
I believe these aluminum radiators are put together with EPOXY on the tanks
ends were you would expect to see solder, thus it is not repairable unless you
douche it w/ more epoxy. NOT GOOD.
The configuration is basically this;
FILL NECK on PS
INLET & OUTLET on DS
Inlet and outlet are 1"
Mounting is a whole new issue. There are 2- 1/4-20 bolts with rubber isolation
washers on the very bottom. THAT makes finding a replacement impossible.
Gosh I hope one of u guys care and find a resolve.
I looked at the original BOM and all it says is something like POWER UNIT = POWER UNIT
Does anyone know WHO built the APU's / the power packs?
If anyone has anyinfo on these radiators PLEASE give me a heads up yesterday.
I think I have a resolve if I have to buy anew, but there ain't nothin' like stock parts.

There is a radiator mfg in Ontario, Canada called Laval. I believe it's a mounting application problem, not a mfg's problem.

Artisan, did you see some more self loading trailers showed up. These showed our military gave over $82K was.
I took mine on a trip to Texarkana and the brackets all broke off the hydraulic tank and a edge cracked open about 4". The bottom almost rubbed through. Couldn't believe it was mounted direct metal to metal. Still a great trailer but I'm sure they never did any long term testing of them. Paul

Paul,
The mission I bought the trailer for is now complete. It will have other missions
in the future. It performed well. I did have a radiator failure as I believe I penned
about herein, and I suffered a broken weld on one of the triangular shaped
chain to container attachment device. The loop that you hook the chain to,
well, one weld BROKE. I was able to save it, got it welded back together.
So other than the initial issues, it has performed well for me. If I were
to sell it I would have to get $30K minimum for it. Looks like these
might work well for moving fracking tanks I am told. ChaCHING!

How high do these things lift? Like, what kind of angle? Looks like maybe about 30-degrees? Wondering if might be able to use as light dump trailer, in addition to hauling containers.
I have never measured the angle but it really gets up there.
In post #2 in this thread you can see an almost fully extended
hoist. I bet ya it is more like 40*
These trailers are AWSOME, the potential is huge on all fronts.
