old thread, i guess your talking about this mod. to the v/r just remove wire under #8 ter. on v/r splice in the fuse holder. this is on my 802a, hopes this helps.

next question...the trailer has the connection for the ground wire....whats left of it is still attached to the trailer bed.......theres a tag .....and a wing nut........but the wire has been cut.....so where do i attach a replacement line...?

theirs a ground lug inside your set at the bottom of the output lugs. run a wire from it out the wire boot on the side to the trailer ground.

I haven't seen many MEP-803s come out. I'd love to have one. They're great generators. I've seen 'em dam near dead and still churning out stable power. They'll do almost anything you ask of them and more.
