11.00-20's on a Deuce....

After my current learning experience with the rear wheels/tires on my deuce, I have decided that on that particular one I want to go to "super singles".

I know that 11.00-20 tires fit on the deuce rims, but do ALL 11.00-20 tires fit, or just the standard non-directional ones?

I would like to go with some that are meaner looking....but will they work with that rim? What tube/flange would they use?

Thanks!

RE: 11.00-20

yes A 11:00 x 20 will fit a deuce rim. all 11:00 x 20's will fit. thats the size, just because the tread is different style don't mean its a different size

RE: 11.00-20

I am a newbie to tires, and this seems the opportune moment: Is the "11.00x20" rating in reference to the inside diameter of the tire (the outside of the wheel), then?

As far as I can tell.....

It means 11 inches of rubber then 20 inches of rim then 11 inches of rubber = 42 inch tire (height)

A 9.00-20 is 9 inches/20 inches/9 inches = 38 inch tire (height)

11.00, 9.00, 14.00 etc is the width across the tread, not the height. xx.5 (or .50) tires are usually shorter heightwise compared to xx.00 tire. Example- a 12.5-20 is roughly the same height as a 9.00-20, but has a wider tread.

Cheers

11.00 is the width but on most tube type tires the sidewall height will be the same. A 11.00-20 is quite a bit taller than a 9.00-20.
