OK, so Tony, BabyBear, and I took the K18-C back up to Zout's AO this morning so he could continue working his magic. No problems on the way up and we got several [thumbzup]on the way.:D Had a nice KFC lunch with Zout and Zout-2.

Coming back was a different story!! Road construction, then an accident, then two different rain storms!! Oh well...we made it safe...both ways.

If I need a break from some engine work I can always go back and dink around with repair to a couple body panels - I am sure PB saw them but I pointed it out as well its going to get repaired. They brought me some paint along to touch up the repair and also paint any more assembled items to the engine as well.

Nothing big is going to happen right away so go ask your wife if she needs any chores done because this is your chance to catch up.

I wish we could have spent more time up there.:-( but with the rain and traffic we didn't get back here until 16:30!!

BabyBear tried to get Tony to ride on the back of the rollback so he could stretch out!

Remember Commander, this is NOT a timed event! Veterans Day is not til November.:papabear:

Walk in the park.
You folks got outta here just in time..that rollback would have been sitting down there if it rained like it did.that is a greasy clay mudpit down there.

I have a way to raise the truck and leave it that way at my pace and then move into the engine move as necessay. I believe it will work better like this time-wise.

A rollback is almost as hard to get stuck as a backhoe. Bed down and push, bed down and push, repeat after me.;) I have gotten out of some sandy, muddy and snowy conditions that way. Not fast and miserable work but it gets you out.

Far from being finished in my world.

I had spent a ton of $$$$ to get that approach to the garage le veled off an seeded-----nwih was it going to get chomped into to dig their way out. Now that this understood cause the Camo was aware of this as well.

Rough estimate from here with all that is going on as well as the storm that just hit us and its cleanup.....i expect next weekend for the engine install to start taking place in its own timeframe and at its own pace.

Few piece ordered to continue on so hang in there

My ole Stihl earned its charmed recognition last couple days. Neighbors put down their tonka toy saws and just started lugging timber. Man i love chopping up wood. Next best thing is burning it.

Once this test of nature settles down I can get back to something I want to do.
Just waiting on a couple parts anyhow I might as well screw off cleaning up. Stay tuned.

My spies tell me the engine is actually in the truck but progress on hooking stuff up is being held up by torrential rains and Zout can't find his SCUBA gear.

PB, that "cartoon" is just wrong. LMBO! Makes me very curious what the real story is. "Through rain, or snow or even dark of night,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"

Literally SHOEHORN fitment of the engine from the bottom up. More to come tomorrow.
Zout2 helped steer to get the truck into place for its lifting to get the engine in from underneath. Lost arse day to fit everything back together and nothing but good things in sight. Stay tuned20150702_153234.jpg20150702_153247.jpg20150702_155442.jpg20150702_155612.jpg20150702_160745.jpg20150703_081819.jpg20150703_082818.jpg20150703_082830.jpg20150703_082844.jpg20150703_083605.jpg20150703_083605.jpg
