Great job so far...Hot looking rig and hot temp outside.....I would have gone with a ford in-line -6 and 4 speed auto....But that's me...almost done...

No can do GI due to space/floorboard issues in the COE. If there was that much room I would have just dropped in a super running GMC 302 I have sitting in the shop.

There's something to be said for putting the right driveline in something.

Great progress so far. The upside down pictures were no problem, just rotated my monitor to check them out and then moved on to the right side up ones.

Please elaborate more about his adjustable mechanical speedometer drive.

Better yet....i will post a pic tonight after i am done visiting better crocker.
Driveline to finish now that i have more ice cold beer.
Finish the engine coolant hoses.
Start looking at fuel line setup and oil pressure gauge line for that purdy dash display.

Pulled the fuel pump last night so i can puck up a correct generic line with the correct fittings and pulled the carb fuel inlet PLUG so i can pick up the correct inle fitting. Will bend the lines myself with my bender.

Will pull the cluster to get the old cruddy oil pressure line out and replaced with a new one and cut back the oil feed line that goes nowhere but onlu up to that rubber feed line to the dash.......will bend this myself as well.

Catch up to a few pictures here - that air cleaner was nasty after 74 years as you could well imagine. Thanks Chaplin John I really humbly appreciate it - I just love working is all.

Here are pics of the night and the temp of the truck that had to be layed on to access stuff most of the night - not whining or bitching nor had covers to throw over stuff - you just got to get over it - adapt and overcome and JUST GET IT DONE.

That wiring all goes somewhere if is was not FUSED and melted together - also the reason for not taking any of it apart - that is a work in progress all by itself but no way in H it is a beer cooler full - it is a CROWN work by itself figuring it out - BUT GUESS who has the ORIGINAL wire schematic that is hogging it all to himself - but that is minus any radio wiring because that is non-existant.............sound like a challenge - I will take it on. Like I was taught years ago - its like following a rail road track - each wire goes somewhere and if there is a switch in the the line you follow it and so on - hope you get the concept. But do not forget - we are dealing with a POSITIVE GROUND system and not a NEGATIVE ground. Just keep following PB's thread on getting the K back into shape
