Just purchased a Deuce, anyway to tell if it is a 1A? I know there was a configuation that was put out that year that had the 5 ton engine with a winch setup. I did look though past posts and visually there was the two engine mount holes at the front right side on the lower block (turbo side). Any other quick visuals to aid in ID of engine type, no plates with info. Any help appreciated.

There should be a plate on the injector pump.

LDS motors were randomly used at anytime during rebuilds.

There was no special lds powered truck in 71.
