1986 m1028 voltage issues

86 m1028 ran great, now wont start. the wire at the glow plug now reads 24 volts when soliniod closes. fried some new g60 plugs. is that mean i need a new ballast resistor? is there a better update to fix this? help, joe.

keep it stock unless you must modify

contact mangus580 he'll know what to do. Mike might have you bypass the resistor if all else fails. You don't have to replace that Resistor behind the air cleaner if you don't want to,
just won't be stock although it can eat away at your front battery I believe it to use only one battery when starting if you modify the stock system. Then rotating the batteries is a must depending on how much you'll be starting it - especially "initial" or cold starts.
