I think my deuce could have been in Iraq with the 730th ASMC. around 2005. I did some research and I know the unit was there, somewhere. My deuce also has tan paint under (between) the layers of green paint. I haven't been able to find further information.

we brought over the whole companies worth of trucks. we probably used aboot 1/3, as we also took possession of 1114's. the rest got sent back to the states to who knows where. during my travels through-out the sand box, i usually only saw deuces in guard units as shuttles to chow hall or p.x. and as base securitah for places like anaconda an tallil. other than that, i dont think i ever saw one on the road. Alot of these old dogs are getting/ or already been sold to the iraqis. i remember escorting a few convoys with these refurbed and painted rigs. two to a trailer, usually about 30-40 rigs a convoy

Nice truck. Will the troop seats fit the proper way with the support legs to the inside? Or does the tank interfere?

if you look closely at the troop seats you can see them in the normal way does not fit. that is the reason that the troop seats way around it. on finished the truck we also looking to the 5 top bows and we find it. Why are the troop seats and top bows on it? This is special made to a hood over it to do. so they can out of the sky (air) and ground are not so easily see that a water tanker is. because water is very important for the soldiers in the war.
