The brakes on my M35A3 4x4 project have a split system, 50/50 master cylinder, air assist. It has 1 1/2" on the front wheel cylinders with (2) rear axles originally being 1 3/8" dia pistons changed. The rear axle wheel cylinders gets changed to 1 1/2", matching the front. I expect it to stop just fine.
