Niehoff have some very good ducumentation on their website, including a comprehensive troubleshooting guide.

When my regulator behaved erratic, this really helped me.

Amazing guys - much appreciated. I think I found my answer. Page 6, Chart 3b. Ohms from pins A to D = 2.2 (within spec). Follow onto Ohms from pins A to B = OL. Next step is to replace the regulator. Anyone have any weird exceptions or special cases that may apply before I throw another $500 at this?

Common wisdom is 95% of 200A alternator problems is regulator related.
Seems to be the consensus. We'll get it ordered and keep you guys posted! I believe the Regulator was causing the gennie to overcharge - which would trip the Overvoltage Cutout (OVCO). Manual says replace regulator and try again.

I'll keep the group posted! Ironic how a few hours after I post my truck for sale - something goes haywire, lol

Mine seems to know what I'm reading on SS (kind of like your phone listening and then you start getting youtube video suggestions). My favorite recently was reading about a transfer case seal leak and then within a few days I started seeing red spots on the garage floor!
